Elegant Cuisine is the exclusive wedding catering company in Oxfordshire for Temple Island. Our exceptional private chef fine dining wedding catering company can make this wedding venue yours for the day for you to enjoy a little slice of Henley's great history, opulence and sprinkle of Henley glamour.
Temple Island is a little island purposely built by architect, James Wyatt, in 1771 as a fishing lodge for Fawley Court, it features a delightfully elegant ornamental tower and signifies the start of the race course for Henley Royal Regatta. The heart of Henley is the River Thames running the length of the historic town, providing the town with a staple supply of boat race legends, festivals, arts, culture, a hugely popular boating community and rich history firmly linked to the Royal family. The island is accessed by boat, making it a fun way for your guests to arrive by one of the many boating companies, setting the scene for what the day has to offer your guests. The island can accommodate a Celebrant to provide a non-religious part of your wedding day, providing a beautiful seated area with a central 'aisle' that you can be dressed to match your wedding theme. Many wedding couples have used this to extend the formal wedding element to exchange personal messages of love and hopes for the future, lighting of candles and non-religious vows. The island tower can be used for the drinks reception and canapés with a separate marquee prepared for the wedding breakfast to take place, alternatively the tower itself can be arranged with tables for the Wedding Breakfast with drinks and canapés served on the lawn. Once the lawn has been cleared of chairs the lawn can be used for garden games, and socialising and providing you with a really great view of the Thames boating activities. |

Who would Temple Island appeal to?
This is a venue with a little Henley panache. It's something a little different, quirky and very 'Henley'...it's not everyday you get to entertain on your very own island, but with this unique little venue you can. This is the place if you love anything to do with boats, the Thames River and Henley Royal Regatta, and if you want your guests to have a very memorable time and the desire to arrive in style by boat!
